Celebration Bowl (2003) Green Turned Sycamore 7 in. height by 14 in. width
With all my efforts lately into work that is more dramatic than my earlier work, I happened across this piece recently in my own collection. I am always drawn to quiet, subtle work such as this piece, and I decided I'd take a photograph of the bowl and feature it. This piece was created a few years ago, but I still turn pure form pieces, as in fact they are still the most challenging and satisfying of any of my work. Constantly touching back to the essentials keeps me grounded while focused going forward.
