Featured Piece - March 2009 (posted 3/22/09)
HMS Surprise
A Skeleton Bowl from my Bones of the Tree series. The title of the piece HMS Surprise (Her Majesty’s Ship Surprise) comes from Patrick O’Brian’s Master and Commander: Far Side of the World. The very first time I viewed this piece after final completion, a vision came to me of Jack Aubrey's ship (a square rigged warship from the 18th century) listing under heavy sail as seen from the stern. will be available directly through the
Grovewood Gallery in
